It’s graduation time!
It’s cap and gown time! A tradition of graduates to wear mortarboard caps and gowns in their school colors. The Mortarboard cap is a traditional graduation cap that is often seen at all levels of academia. The name is derived from the idea that the hat resembles the board that is used by bricklayers to hold the mortar known as the “hawk”. Graduation can be viewed as a foundation built on knowledge through hard work and years of school, so the symbolism of the mortarboard is perfectly suited. The cap and gown symbolizes how special the day is to those who have studied all of those years to achieve their academic degree whether it is for high school or college. As graduates walk down the aisle to their respective seats, the cap and gown adds to the feeling of pride that finally one chapter of their life has been successfully completed.
This card displays the many numerous feet ( and personalities ) that will peek under all of those graduation gowns parents and loved ones will see passing by them in the commencement and baccalaureate ceremonies they will attend this spring. Many happy faces will be seen and many a tear will be shed. They graduated! The world awaits them!
The card is left blank inside for you to express your words of wisdom for the graduate-to-be.
